An Aussie owner/lover since 1975, we are dedicated to preserving the natural instincts of the Australian Shepherds, and raising quality dogs as family and working companions. Our traditional standard pups are eligible for ASCA and AKC registration, have a one year health guarantee and come in a variety of colors.
We breed foundation lines where temperament, willingness to please, brainpower, physical condition, and natural instincts were foremost. Unfortunately, over the years, many of these traits have been bred out of Aussie's.
Pups come from proven Champion and/or Hall of Fame pedigrees and are intelligent, hearty, gorgeous, healthy teeth/gums, and loyal beyond belief. Farm raised and well socialized they will be the BEST dog you have ever had!
Our females display high levels of maternal instincts, and have approximately one litter per year. Our pups are raised in an environment that allows them to explore the world around them. Our pups lineage are OFA hip-tested, CERF eye-tested, and are checked for good bite. All parents are DNA certified.
Litters are up to date on vaccinations, de-worming, and vet checked before they go to their new families. Shipping and/or delivery options are possible.
Pups are sold on a spay/neuter contract unless other arrangements are made prior to sale.
Our Aussie's come from some of the most influential foundation kennels in the country...Twin Oaks, Twin Oaks II, and Las Rocosa.

Although we will always keep in mind the color preference of our puppy buyers, we do not place our pups in homes based solely on color choice. Our evaluations are on-going to identify puppies on a wide variety of qualities including
temperament, natural instincts and suitability.

Quotes and Statements about Old-Style Aussie's from Long-Time Breeders
Good health and longevity was a hallmark for the early foundation Aussie's.

My dogs are the old kind and I mean to keep them that way. ...Viv Billingham one of the most knowledgeable shepherds of Scotland
In order for an Aussie to have a correct temperament it must possess herding instincts. This is what the breed standards call for. ...Carol Ann and Earnest Hartnagle
With their natural working ability, Australian Shepherds soon became a favorite. They were found to be easily trained, natural watch dogs, and a very good companions for children as well as adults. ...Janeane Harper early owner, club historian and breeder
"As a family dog, the Aussie is one of the best dogs we've ever been around"
Recently there has been a rise in the movement to breed “miniature”, and sadly, even a “toy” version of the Australian Shepherd. Neither of these are recognized by any of the official Australian Shepherd clubs/organizations. The Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA), the American Kennel Club (AKC), nor the United States Australian Shepherd Association, Inc. (USASA), recognize nor register these dogs. The dogs are only recognized by their own breed clubs, which have been formed since they were denied recognition by the above clubs. They are NOT a 'variety' of the true Australian Shepherd, they are a totally separate breed.
We do not breed "mini's", will not allow our males to be used to breed to a "mini" and will not recommend a breeder to you because we personally do not support the purposeful breeding of 'miniature” or “toy” dogs that are then passed off as Australian Shepherds. We breed our Aussies to the ASCA and AKC recognized standard of excellence. These clubs require all of their members to abide by their rules and regulations and their Code of Ethics, and to be ever vigilant in the preservation and protection of the true Australian Shepherd. _________________________________________________________

I am writing you to thank you for selling me such a wonderful dog. I knew she was a great dog, but we had a baby last Aug and she is such a good caretaker to the baby. Just in case you don't remember, my boyfriend (now my husband) met you in Sleepy Eye in early 2004.
